  • MacMillan Coffee Morning Reminder that Friday 27th September 2019 sees us supporting MacMillian Cancer Support with a Broadfield Bake Off and cake sale after school.  Please send in any show stoppers or shop brought cakes so we can chose our favorite (mmmmm cherry bakewell) and raise funds for this amazing charity. 
  • Aldi Stickers We are collecting Aldi Olympic stickers for our wall chart in Key Stage 2 Hall, hopefully we can collect enough to get a FREE sports kit and be entered into the draw for £20,000.  Please send all stickers in via class teachers or school office.  Many thanks
  • PGL We will update PGL parents with travel information via text as and when we receive updates.
  • Back to School Reminder that all children are back to school on Wednesday 4th September.  We look forward to seeing them at 8.50am in their new classrooms.  Our school office will be open from Monday afternoon if you need to contact the school prior to your child returning.  Enjoy the rest of the school holidays.
  • Car Parks We have had new electric gates fitted to our staff car park on Windmill Road.  Please note the car parks are for staff only.  If you are attending a meeting at the school and require disabled parking, please notify the school admin office prior to your meeting and we can arrange for a space to be available for you.  Please be respectful to the residents when parking near the school and do not block driveways or pathways.
  • Schools out for Summer School is now closed for the summer holidays.  Thank you to everyone for all their support over the last academic year, we look forward to welcoming back our children on Wednesday 4th September.  Good luck to our year 6 pupils as they start their new adventure in their High Schools.  Have a great summer everyone.
  • End of term reminder Please remember that we break up for Summer at 1.30pm on Tuesday 23rd July 2019.
  • Sports Day Friday 12th July 2019 Key Stage 2 will start at 9.30am, Key Stage 1 will start at 1.30pm.  All children to come into school in their PE kit wearing a top of their house colour.  Parents to enter via the nursery gate on Broadfield Road.  Parents are welcome to come along to watch and cheer on their children.  Please ensure you send your child in with a full water bottle and hat especially if it is hot.
  • Transition Day No 2. On Thursday 11th July we will be holding our second transition day where the children will be spend the day with their new teachers. 
  • Meet your new teacher Tonight is an informal chance to meet your child’s new teacher for September.  Pop along to your child’s new classroom from 3.15 where the new teacher will be waiting.  Unfortunately due to commitments at their current schools, Mr Stephenson, Miss MacQueen and Miss Hayes will not be available, but there will be plenty of chances to meet them in September.

  • Friday 13th September 2019 Dear Children / Parents / Carers We have had a great first week back! We have settled into routine very quickly. School has been calm and I have enjoyed hearing stories about summer adventures from children. Roald Dahl Day today was lots of fun. It was so lovely to see so many children dressed as their favourite book character. Raising the profile of Reading is so important and such a vital life skill.   • End of the year… I cannot quite believe how quickly the year has flown by. We have achieved so much and progressed so far on our improvement journey. Once again, thank you for your support. We are in a strong position to drive teaching and learning next year as our foundations are strong. I hope you have enjoyed meeting your child’s new teacher.   • 07.06.19 Dear Children, Parents / Carers What a great first week back! The weather has been really up and down but we have been just right! Children have settled in quickly and school routines have kicked in. Our lovely Year 6 children visited Pizza Express and made their own pizzas. Taking learning out of class really helps to inspire children. They all enjoyed themselves and came back to school rather hungry.   • This Week: 17.05.19 Dear Children, Parents / Carers  It has been a fantastic week! Our Year 6 pupils showed real determination during their SATs exams and made us all very proud.  The highlight of the week was our Fun Run. We have been hosting this event for the past nine years and it is part and parcel of Broadfield’s tradition. Children had so much fun running the circuit.   • 03/05/19 Dear Children, Parents / Carers It has been a fantastic week and we all settled nicely back into school life. This week, our wonderful Year 6 pupils sat their Mock SATs. Children at Broadfield were really supportive and encouraging to Year 6 pupils and were saying such positive things to them. It is such a pleasure to see our values embedded in our pupils and their day-to-day dialogue. Staff have worked so hard to ensue our pupil wellbeing was maintained.   • Happy Easter Dear Children, Parents / Carers Happy Easter! It has been a wonderful half-term. We have been busy Broadfield Bees once again. Today’s Principal’s Brilliance Assembly was fantastic. Lots of children being awarded for demonstrating our school values. The vibe was up-beat and positive and we enjoyed celebrating their success. Once again, children were recognised for their progress and achievements in all areas of learning. Thank you for your support.
